Offering a wide variety of history tours in the area is the Portage County Historical Society. With downtown walking tours during the summer, history pub crawls throughout the year and a handful of others, be sure to keep tabs on their events to see if they've got something going on while you're visiting.
Want to explore on your own? Head over to Heritage Park and explore 11 different historical buildings that were brought in from different areas of Portage County. Or visit the oldest municipal building in Stevens Point at Fire House No. 2 open seasonally between Memorial and Labor Day.
