Visitor Information Specialist/Public Relations Internship

Responsibilities/Duties for the Visitor Information Specialist/Public Relations Intern:

• Working with the marketing and communications staff to assist with a wide variety of projects including but not limited to: writing press releases, writing editorial copy for print and web-based use, maintaining clip files, maintaining community calendar of events, maintaining photo and video library, entering member/public relations related information into database management system.

Qualifications for the Visitor Information Specialist/Public Relations Intern:

• Well versed on the Stevens Point Area/Portage County, highly organized, adaptable, excellent customer service skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Software. We are a busy organization with diverse opportunity for practical, hands-on experience in tourism PR. Graphic design, videography and photography knowledge a plus.
