With a wide variety of breakfast and brunch options in the area, head to these local places and you will be sure to find something tasty. Stop by Emy J's to grab a coffee, or Mission Coffee to taste their coffee flight. Check out Main Grain Bakery for baked goods and a variety of specialty sandwiches, or Ruby Cafe to try their delicious crepes. Eat out at The Wooden Chair for everything from pancakes to sandwiches and wraps, or check out Chef C's Om Noms truck, open seasonally, for a rotating menu of delicious brunch and dessert items. In the mood for a mimosa? Try PJ's mimosa board which includes a bottle of prosecco, juice, and mixed fruit.

Visiting in Summer? Head to Brian and Wendy's Hiawatha and try Brian's Breakfast Beast which is your choice of a screwdriver or fuzzy navel topped with an assortment of breakfast toppings!

Shop 'til You Drop

Head downtown and check out all of the different shops and find all the things from clothing to decor, books, accessories, and more. Head to Bria Bella & Co. to browse their selection of clothing including dresses, tops, bottoms, and accessories. Check out Agora, a local maker's market, for a variety of fun goods from jewelry to stickers, drinkware, and so much more. Process, a low-waste sustainable shop has all things home and body, and also is a refillery where you can refill your own containers of various products. For decor with a southern touch, head over to Turquoise on Main, then find a good book from Soujourn Booksellers inside of Guild Designs or next door at Bound to Happen Books. Stop at Adeline's Closet Boutique or Village Gift in Amherst for even more cute finds!

Top Photo Op Spots

All of the incredible art in the Stevens Point Area makes for great photo-op spots and it is a cheap getaway weekend idea. From murals & sculptures to the areas of natural beauty, you'll be able to take some amazing photos. Check out the Grab the Glass mural on Clark Street, which was painted for the Stevens Point Brewery's 160th anniversary. Head over to the square and check out the colorful Trailblazer mural, 'What the Lion Cannot Manage the Fox Can' mural, along with a variety of other murals located downtown. Oh- and don't miss out on "To The Point" sculpture a local favorite - off of North Point Drive or check out the Stevens Point Sculpture Park. During late summer, you must see the sunflower fields in the Stevens Point Area, out at Sopa Fairview Farm, and explore the miles of golden flowers. (peak season late July to early August).

Go For a Hike

The Stevens Point Area is full of beautiful spots to take a hike or walk. Check out the Green Circle Trail, a 27-mile scenic route that loops throughout the area where you can walk, bike, run, and everything in between. Schmeeckle Reserve, part of the Green Circle Trail and located at the UW-Stevens Point campus, includes trails where you can view wildlife and enjoy Lake Joanis. Walk downtown and see all of the beautiful, original buildings and check out Mathias Mitchell Public Square, then head down for a walk by the Wisconsin River and watch the sunset.

Where to Dine

Hungry and wondering where to go for a nice dinner with your girls? With a wide variety of options in the area, you can be sure to find somewhere with something delicious. Head over to PJ's at SentryWorld for everything from wood-oven pizza, fish, burgers, salads, and more. For a fine dining experience, head to Muse where you can get hand-rolled pasta, fresh fish, steak, and salads along with 350 different options for wine. For options from all around the world try Father Fats. Check out Guu's or Point After, for burgers, sandwiches, wings, and more.

Take a Sip

From breweries to wineries and distilleries, the Stevens Point Area has plenty of spots to find your favorite drink on girls weekend getaways. Head over to the Stevens Point Brewery for a tour and to sample all of their different beers and hard cider, or try O'so Brewing Company for beer flights and homemade pizza. Then, check out District 1 Brewing Company for a variety of craft beers, along with a fun environment to play games and occasional live music. Try Great Northern Distilling, Central Wisconsin's first craft distillery featuring a rotating menu of delicious cocktails. Stop in Amherst at Central Waters Brewing and try their unique seasonal beers. More of a wine person? Check out Sunset Point Winery and sample different wines with a wine flight, or try a wine slushie during the summer months. Another fun wine option is Honey Bee Good, the newest meadery in town featuring locally made honey wines & tropical plants.

Looking to take wine back home with you? Stop in at Caravan Wine Shop for an expansive wine selection. They even host regular wine tastings, where you get to learn about the wine producers & try the product for yourself!
