Tasty Treats
Everyone needs a sweet treat here and there, and Belts is excellent at providing that! With a plethora of choices, you will find creamy deliciousness in whatever you pick. If you're looking for a baked good, head over to Main Grain for sweet cookies, muffins, tarts, and so much more.

Flower Fields
Explore beautiful sunflowers at Sopa Fairview Farm. This insta-worthy spot is a great spot for photos or just to admire the hard work of the farm! During the late summer season, they even offer yoga and wine nights at the sunflower field. If you want a bigger variety of flowers, check out Gather Farm & Flowers. This unique farm allows you to pick your own bouquet as well as venture through the rows and rows of flowers.

Outstanding Outdoors
There is no shortage of outstanding outdoor places to visit in the Stevens Point Area. Start by visiting one of the many segments on the Green Circle Trail, the 27-mile loop around the area. Wander through Schmeeckle Reserve on the UW-Stevens Point campus. Rent kayaks or canoes and paddle your way around Lake Joanis.

Delicious Dinners
Calling all foodies! Check out our many places to eat in the area. Stop by Guu's on Main for homemade wings tossed in your favorite sauce. Head to Point After for delicious burgers (and don't skip out on the pretzel bites!). Chow down at PJ's at SentryWorld; we recommend their wood-fired oven pizza. Don't forget to check out Sky Club, home of the first-ever refrigerated salad bar.

Farm Fresh Food
Central Wisconsin is the ideal location to find farm-fresh food. Head to the Stevens Point Farmers' Market (available at the Boys & Girls Club during the winter months) and get to know your local farmers. Not sure where to start? Check out our Winter Farmers' Market Recipes to brainstorm ideas.

Hearty History
Founded in 1858, Stevens Point is rich in history. Check out Heritage Park, home to 11 historic buildings. This spot is great for learning more about the history of this gorgeous town. Experience tradition at the downtown Stevens Point Farmers' Market! It began in 1870 when Polish farmers began selling crops, animals, eggs, and vegetables in what is now known as the Mathias Mitchell Public Square. If you're interested in more local history, reach out to the Portage County Historical Society or attend one of their events.

Magical Music
All year round, Stevens Point has so many options for live music. Stop by Point Brewery on the weekends to grab a brew and listen to some tunes. During the summer, check out Notes@Night in Downtown Stevens Point every Wednesday and Levitt AMP at Pfiffner Park every Thursday.

Unique University
Check out the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point! Home to the Olson Natural History Museum, Arthur J. Pejsa Observatory, Allen F. Blocher Planetarium, and Edna Carlsten Art Gallery, UWSP is sure to provide fun for the whole family.

Fairs & Festivals
Gather at the Portage County Fair for rides, games, and fun fair food in central Wisconsin. Stop by the Portage County Cultural Festival to experience the globe inside the Stevens Point Area Senior High. Celebrate Polish heritage at the annual Dozynki Harvest Festival. Nothing says 4th of July like fireworks! Head to Riverfront Rendezvous for classic Summer fair fun with music and fireworks.

Delightful Downtown
Head Downtown Stevens Point to find shopping, activities, outdoor beauty, and more! Shop at Geppetto's for toys, or if you're a bookworm, stop by Bound to Happen and Sojourn Booksellers. Grab some local goodies at the Farmers' Market and let the little ones play on the splash pad in the center. Grab a drink at Great Northern Distilling, Guu's on Main, Graffiti's, or Buffy's Still.

Spectate Sports
Cheer on local teams at one of the many UWSP games! From hockey to football to softball to soccer, there are so many sports to watch. Head out to the Sentry Curling Center to watch the Stevens Point Curling Club. During the Summer, check out the Water Walkers water skiing team. Sports aren't just for adults either; see youth hockey games at Ice Hawks Arena as well as soccer games at the Portage County Youth Soccer Complex.

Get crafty! Head to Wisconsin Wool Exchange LLC for knitting, sewing, crocheting, spinning, and more. They even teach you to knit for free. For expert crafters, Herrschners is the gem of crafting supplies in the area. This warehouse has any product you need to create your perfect masterpiece. Don't miss out on their annual warehouse sale with crazy deals. Take a trip out to Arnott and visit Buzz in Art Studios to learn how to make beeswax paintings at one of their various workshops. Mark your calendars for the annual Tinsel Trail at the end of the year with crafting galore!

Get gaming in the Stevens Point Area! Try out the pinball machines at District 1 Brewing (as well as one of their brews). Challenge friends and family at Putt-N-Play mini golf. Want to stay home? Pick up board games at Galaxy, Comics, Games, & More or Geppetto's.

Family Friendly Fun
Visit one of the many playgrounds in Stevens Point. KASH (Kids Are Special Here) playground is unique in its ability to accommodate children of all abilities. Then visit the Central Wisconsin Children's Museum and cruise through the cool exhibits. If your kids love the exhibits at the Children's Museum, head over to Food + Farm Exploration Center to incorporate agricultural learning with play!

Head to Gallery Q to see their current exhibit, which features local art that is available for purchase. Check out Riverfront Arts Center for art classes as well as locally made art displayed in the facility. For more art creations, head on over to Arteffects or the Edna Carlsten Art Gallery. If you can't get enough, don't miss the annual Festival of the Arts at O'so Brewing or the Hidden Studios Art Tour!

Snow-Much Sledding & Skating
Fun isn't limited to the seasons. Stevens Point has year-round opportunities for activity. Head out to Iverson Park for sledding and to take a ride on the 300-foot-long toboggan slides. Slip on some skates and check out the outdoor rink at Goerke Park or Downtown Stevens Point. K.B. Willett Arena also offers public skating during select times.

Cheering for Cheese
Get classic Wisconsin cheese throughout the area. Stop at Feltz's Dairy Farm to get delicious cheese curds and see the cows through the viewing window located in their store. Or grab one of the various Mac & Cheese options at Guu's on Main. For the best cheese pull, pick up italian fries from Arbuckles for gooey, cheesy goodness.

Bite into Brunch
Want to sleep in and still have breakfast? There are plenty of options for brunch. Check out Lonely Oak Farm for brunch on the farm, May through October. Head to downtown Stevens Point to bite into deliciousness at the Wooden Chair or Cozy Kitchen. Sip on delicious coffee and chow on one of their specialty crepes at Ruby Coffee Roasters.

Wonderful Water
Stevens Point isn't known as the city of wonderful water for nothing! Paddle, fish, or swim along one of our various bodies of water. Check out the Wisconsin River, Tomorrow River, and Plover River for beautiful scenery and a swift current, perfect for kayaking. Head out to Lake DuBay for family fun on the water at Tiki Beach or DuBay Park. For more swimming fun, take the family to Lake Emily, Sunset Lake, or Jordan Pond.

Brilliant Birding
Head over to George W. Mead State Wildlife Area and view the varying species of birds in the area. This location is a bird lover's paradise. Another great location is Schmeeckle Reserve. Many of the birds, as well as other animals, are easy to spot and allow you to look at them up close. Be sure to keep tabs on local events hosted by the Aldo Leopold Audubon Society, as they are a great resource for those new at birding.

Breathtaking Biking
Before you hit the trails, swing by the Hostel Shoppe or PABS to be sure you have all of your biking needs. Then head out to Standing Rocks County Park for 13 miles of mountain bike trails. In the winter, expect fat tire bike trails when conditions are good. Want a long bike ride? Hop on the Green Circle Trail, the 27-mile trail loops through the region with views of the Wisconsin River, Plover River, and various parks.

Cozy Coffee
There is no shortage of coffee shops in the Stevens Point Area. Whether it's the classic Ruby Roasters or Starry Night Cat Cafe, you can taste variations of lattes and cold brews. Try out Mission Coffee and their monthly themed specials. Head over to the brand new Lolli and Pop's Shop and try out one of their many delicious drinks (we recommend the apple crisp macchiato). Rad Racket Sports
Whether you're interested in pickleball or tennis, there are plenty of places to play in the Stevens Point Area. Check out the Sentry Fieldhouse and pickleball complex designed for both players and spectators. If you love outdoor courts, head to Goerke Park for a mix between tennis and pickleball courts. Want to get started in pickleball? Heart of Wisconsin Pickleball Association hosts many events for new players.

Soothing Spa & Sauna
Relax and enjoy the wood-fired sauna at Nordic Night. Feel those pores open and the stress of the day-to-day fade. Not relaxed yet? Head to the Wellness Spa for a massage, facial, or various other spa treatments. Stay at the Water Dragon Inn to extend your relaxation.

Amherst Adventure
Venture out to the quaint town of Amherst! Explore Central Waters Brewery and taste craft beers with your pups on their pet-friendly patio. If you're craving coffee, head to the Landmark in downtown Amherst. Don't skip out on the Jensen Center! See all of their classes and their musical guests. Paddle down the Tomorrow River and maybe cast a line too.

Best Bowling
Head out to Amherst's Whitetail Lanes for plenty of bowling fun. Or swing by Skipp's to grab a drink and throw some strikes. And you can't miss Opi's 5 Star Lanes, complete with sand volleyball courts.

Literary Leisure
Not many people view Stevens Point as a town of books, but boy, would they be wrong! From Bound to Happen books to Sojourn Booksellers to Kindred Spirits, there is no shortage of book sellers in the area. Interested in author readings? Check out the Portage County Library or Riverfront Arts Center to see their story time availability. If it couldn't get any more local, check out Cornerstone Press through UWSP to find Wisconsin authors!

Fish Fry Fridays
Nothing says Wisconsin like a good ol' fish fry Friday! Stop by Point After to check out their Friday menu with a variety of options. Or head over to Guu's on Main and order up their lake perch fillets breaded in a house dill breading. Or go out to Jordan Bar & Grill, voted Portage County's #1 spot for a fish fry in 2022.

Amusing Antiques
Think you've seen it all for antiquing? Check out Call it New/ Call it Antique, a three-story consignment and antique store with a variety of vendors and items. Continue your hunt at Antique Up, a warehouse with over 80 booths and vendors all offering something unique. Visit Rosholt to see Rustic Raven's Antiques, offering unique gifts, wines, and various household items.

Captivating Cooking Classes
Chef up classy meals at Food + Farm Exploration Center. With the help of Mid-State Technical College, these classes are a great way to start or continue your cooking journey. Decorate cookies at Sunset Point Winery while sipping on dry or sweet wine. Make your own creations at home with help from our guide to Stevens Point Farmers Market Recipes.

Blooming Berries
Harvest local flavor straight from the source. Pick your own strawberries at Stroik's Berry Farm or Arnold's Strawberries. If you're more of a blueberry person, head over to Chet's Blueberry Farm for fresh, tasty blueberries. If you love picking berries, help out Rock Ridge Vineyard during grape harvesting in early fall.

Fetching Fish
There is no shortage of amazing fishing in the Stevens Point Area. Many people are unaware of the diverse fishing that the Stevens Point Area has to offer. From the trout streams of the Tomorrow River to the sloughs and backwaters of the Wisconsin River that are ripe with abundant species of fish and wildlife, or ice fishing in one of the many lakes, the area offers some of Wisconsin’s premier angling.

Crazy Corn Maze
Want a challenge? Visit the Stevens Point Area this fall and try to navigate one of our most popular corn mazes: Feltz Dairy Farm. Each year, Feltz creates the corn maze in a new and unique image. Follow their socials to stay tuned to what the corn maze will look like this year. Local strawberry farm Arnold's Strawberries hosts a fall harvest weekend that includes its very own corn maze, wagon rides, and horse rides.

Furry Friend Fun
Bring Fido with you on your trip to the Stevens Point Area! With dog-friendly patios like Central Waters Brewing, Bullheads Bar & Grill, and Guu's on Main, you won't have to leave your pup behind at dinner. Take your furry friend to Standing Rocks Dog Park for some exercise, then pick up some treats from the Companion Shop or BowWow Meow Boutique.

Hit the green during golfing season in the Stevens Point Area. Head to the world-class SentryWorld course (host of the 2023 U.S. Senior Open!) and experience the beauty of the flower hole. Or check out the Wisconsin River Golf Club, a par-72, 6,584-yard course set along the Wisconsin River. Venture out to the Stevens Point Country Club for a quieter, family-friendly 18-hole course.

Top-Tier Theater
Head to Sentry Theater to see everything from orchestra concerts to one-of-a-kind plays. Check out Central Wisconsin Area Community Theater for upcoming shows and events. You won't want to miss their annual Shakespeare in the Park at Schmeeckle Reserve. And of course, you will want to see the various performances by the performing arts students at the UWSP. From classics to hand-crafted originals, the theater is for everyone!

Totally-Tubular Trivia
Home of the World's Largest Trivia Contest, it is no surprise that trivia events can be found year-round. Guu's on Main has weekly trivia that is very popular among the community. We recommend calling and reserving a spot, as it can be pretty competitive! You can also head to the city's oldest brewery, Point Brewery, for a challenging game of trivia every Thursday night.
