While your Tesla charges at Festival Foods with their new fast chargers, take the opportunity to explore your surroundings. Just up the street, District 1 Brewing offers an array of craft beers to sample and enjoy. If you're craving some Korean fusion cuisine, then Brokogi is the place to be. Either way, there are fun things to do close to the chargers making it a great spot for Tesla users to stop.
If you are charging your Tesla at Ruby Café, you can stop in the café and grab one of their famous maple lattes. Being right downtown, there are a variety of fun things to do. Explore all the local shopping or restaurants. Plus, there are so many fun events happening downtown regularly.
There are multiple J-1772 chargers around campus for electric vehicles. While charging, there are so many fun things to do near the university. If you are looking to explore the sciences, then check out the Tropical Conservatory. This is also a great escape to warmth amid a Central Wisconsin winter. Although under renovation, once complete the Olson Museum of Natural History will be a great stop with little ones so they can explore interactive exhibits. Another great stop with kids is the Blocher Planetarium. With regular showings, you can explore outer space and the Earth.
On the outskirts of campus is Schmeeckle Reserve where more vehicle chargers can be found. Charging here gives visitors a chance to explore the 280-acre conservancy area. There are around 5 miles of trails and a 24-acre lake. Plus, there is outdoor rec gear available for rent on-site you can canoe or kayak on Lake Joanis.
Nestled in Amherst, Northwind Solar offers five J-1772 chargers, all powered by the sun. In the same business park and a short stroll away is Central Waters Brewing Co. Sit in the taproom and see all the brewing action up close. Alternatively, soak up the sunshine or cozy up by the fire in their outdoor spaces.
