Two-Day Trip: Craft Collective

Love craft beer, wine or spirits? Then, you don't want to miss the Central Wisconsin Craft Collective. Enjoy the local makers of craft beverages in the Stevens Point Area, including craft breweries, a winery, and a distillery. Check out the places to tour, taste, and sample for a two-day trip of the Craft Collective. Then, plan your own itinerary perfectly crafted to your tastes.

Day 1

Stop 1: Central Waters Brewing Company

Begin your trip in Amherst at Central Waters, a brewery leading the way in sustainability and barrel-aged beers. Check out their Tap Room and sip on tasty craft beers or seltzers. If you're there on Saturday, join a free tour!

Stop 2: O'so Brewing Company

Then, head to Plover for O'so Brewing Company. While O'so is known for their sour beers, you can try a variety of brews ranging from IPAs to porters. If you're getting hungry, try out one of their many delicious pizzas while you sip on tasty drinks. 

Stop 3: Great Northern Distilling

Next, swing by Great Northern Distilling and end your day with handcrafted spirits and cocktails made from local ingredients. Grab a seat at the mixology bar for a local taste, or join a tour on Saturday afternoon for a chance to see the process (and the still) close up.  

Day 2

Stop 4: Point Brewery 

Start off your second day of craft collective at Stevens Point Brewery, which is one of the oldest operating breweries in the nation (brewing beer since 1857!). Check out their new taproom and sample their latest and greatest. Tours are available six days a week. Be sure to call ahead for reservations! Afterwards, test out some of their classic drinks including Point Special Lager, Green Circle Pale Ale, Ciderboys Hard Cider and gourmet sodas.

Stop 5: Empty Nest Winery

Next, make your way to Empty Nest Winery in downtown Stevens Point. Unwind in the cozy tasting room, complete with hammock swings. Enjoy whites, reds, roses, and even wine-tails that combine flavors! If you can't decide on one wine, be sure to grab a flight.

Stop 6: District 1 Brewing 

On your final stop in the craft collective journey, stop by District 1 Brewing. Check out the cool collection of pinball machines and pick up a board game to play while sippin' on one of their many tasty craft beers.
