Do you enjoy a bitter beer that has hops to give you a smile? Then the first Thursday in August is your day: National IPA Day! What's a better way to spend this day than in the Stevens Point Area with the Central Wisconsin Craft Collective? Join many others as we celebrate by raising a glass to one of craft beer's most iconic styles - IPA.
Stevens Point Brewery
Take a seat outside on the Point Patio with an IPA in hand while playing a game of cornhole. Or, make reservations to take a tour to go behind the scenes of this iconic brewery - before snagging a sample of your IPA. Either way, the Point Brewery has got you covered.
What to sip: Looking for a fruity IPA to celebrate the day? Try Hazy Pebbles. This IPA is a fruit-infused hazy beer with colorful pineapple, sweet raspberry, and a little lactose for a milkshake-y mouthfeel.
District 1 Brewing
This brewery has strong beer hall vibes, perfect for hanging out with friends. With mounds of board games, indoor cornhole, and plenty of pinball machines to play, you'll have plenty of fun while sipping on an IPA at District 1 Brewing. Looking for some gluten-free options? District 1 has you covered.
What to sip: Try their most popular IPAs, the congruence II and III. Or, get a taste of an expressive hoppy beer with their Ripped Jeans & Wolf Shirts - which is a dry-hopped hazy IPA.
O'so Brewing Company
Grab a craft beer from O'so Brewing and their spacious location in Plover in Artist & Fare, which brought new life to an abandoned Shopko building. While there sipping your IPA in the taphouse or on the patio, be sure to check out their new kitchen options. Beyond the beer menu, you'll find a selection of delicious housemade pizzas.
What to sip: Try out Haze Positive the newest year-round IPA. It is beautifully hazy and smooth with light bitterness and tons of hop flavor. Or, if you'd prefer opt for a full flavor, but low-alcohol IPA with Dinky Juice. It is a unique IPA packed with hops flavor and aroma with 3.2% alcohol content.
Central Waters Brewing
Looking for a brewery where you can enjoy an IPA outdoors all year long? At Central Waters, you can enjoy a drink outside any time of the year with their outdoor patio space that's equipped with firepits in the winter and plenty of seating in the summer.
What to sip: A beer as hoppy as it gets? The Illumination Double IPA is the one for you! A double Indian Pale Ale by Central Waters is known for their version of a mouthful of hops. Still looking for IPA options? Try the Rift IPA which is brewed with 5 different hops including Simcoe, Citra, and Amarillo.
