Sledding, ice skating, building a snowman… there are plenty of ways for you and the kids to play outside in the wintertime. But for those days where you’d rather not bundle up in snow gear, what’s there to do? Here are a few ways the whole family can have fun indoors this winter.
- Clay Corner Studio hosts artsy activities for all ages and abilities. Paint your own pottery or try your hand at glass fusing and wheel throwing. The studio also hosts a number of events for kids and adults throughout the year.
- Visit Gepetto’s Workshop in downtown Stevens Point. Their large selection of classic toys is fun for the kids and will take you on a trip down memory lane.
- Treat yourself and the family to ice cream at Emy J’s. Choose from 16 ice cream flavors or their delicious fruit smoothies. Or, if you want to warm up from a cold winter day, there are a number of coffee drinks and hot chocolate for you to sip on.
- The Central Wisconsin Children’s Museum is a discovery place for children from 6 months to 10 years old and their families. Kids will have a ball with their hands-on exhibits, while learning at the same time.
