Passing through community parks, along the flowing Wisconsin River, and around quiet neighborhood roadways, the western segments of the Green Circle Trail offer impeccable scenic views and outdoor recreation possibilities.
River Pines Trail | Westside Loop | Riverfront Trail | Stagecoach Trail
River Pines Trail Segment
As one of the most scenic portions of the Green Circle Trail, the River Pines Trail allows for views of rocky outcroppings, islands, large white pine and oak trees, and incredible sunsets. The trail also ends near the historic downtown area connecting to many local businesses and restaurants.
Westside Loop Segment
The Westside Loop acts as an alternative trail route as it winds along the west side of the Wisconsin River. At the beginning of the trail get a glimpse of the HH Bridge mural and then as you follow the trail, end up near downtown where you can continue riding or make a pit stop for a drink or bite to eat.
Riverfront Trail Segment
As a popular paved trail, the Riverfront Trail runs along the Wisconsin River and through two community parks, Pfiffner Pioneer Park and Bukolt Park. This segment is great to bring your furry friend along as they can cool off with a dip in the water at Bukolt Park.
Stagecoach Trail Segment
The Stagecoach Trail is unique to the Green Circle Trail in that it includes three of the best spots to observe the Wisconsin River. With that, the trail offers excellent birding opportunities including migrating birds during the spring and fall.
