Tourism Ambassador Program

The mission of the Stevens Point Area Convention & Visitors Bureau is to lead the region's tourism industry and aggressively market the Stevens Point Area as an attractive destination for leisure and business travel in order to create a positive economic impact and, thus, enhance the area's quality of life. Our office acts as storytellers to promote the area but we can’t tell the story alone! That’s where our ambassadors come in. Local’s play a critical role in enhancing the visitor experience and quickly become influential insiders! 

What is the Fun on T.A.P. program? 
The Fun on T.A.P. (Tourism Ambassador Program) is a 2-hour interactive session that will equip you with essential tools and information so that you can help provide high-quality experiences for visitors.  This affordable training is focused on good customer service and influencing visitors and guests in the most positive way. 

The training will help you answer questions that visitors might have such as: 

• Do you have any breweries in town?
• What events are going on this weekend?
• I’m in town with my grandkids, what are some things we could do?
• Where is the best spot to hike in town?

Who should participate in the Fun on T.A.P. sessions? 
The best part? Anyone who is passionate about the Stevens Point Area can attend. Whether you’re a local who loves the area, a realtor, restaurant server, hotel front desk staff, and more! 

After you complete the training you will officially become certified as a Tourism Ambassador Professional for the Stevens Point Area! 

Each session is limited to the first 20 people and the cost is only $10 per person.
