Greenery and Scenery

Gather your friends and family for some trail-walking fun! If you're not sure where to start, check out the Green Circle Trail. This 27-mile trail loop has various-lengthed sections throughout, so you can pick your adventure on foot, or on a bike. (Taking the kids? Check out our Kids Guide to the Green Circle Trail here!

If you are looking to combine art and activity, check out the Stevens Point Sculpture Park. The park has a fun (and easy) half-mile trail with art from local, regional, and national artists. The trail makes a perfect loop, when connecting to the Brickyard Trail section of the Green Circle Trail, which connects to the sculpture park trail.

For more hiking, with fido in tow, head out to Standing Rocks County Park. While there are lots of trails to explore by foot or bike (and disc golf, too!), don't skip their expansive dog park. When winter weather hits, Standing Rocks provides more fun with downhill and cross-country skiing, fat-tire biking, and snowshoeing options.

A day full of adventure is bound to make you hungry! Pack a snack or a picnic for your day ahead with food from the Stevens Point Farmer's Market- there is a summer or winter option for year-round fresh food- or get your local and organic goodies from the Stevens Point Co-opFeltz's Dairy Store or Mullins Cheese
