Best overall selection: 

Decisions, decisions, decisions! If you are looking for a large range of burgers to try, start at one of these locations. Good luck picking just one favorite!

  • Mr. Brew's Tap House, with 14 permanent options, substitutions for patty type, and add-ons available. 

  • Hilltop Pub and Grill, with 11 already-created burgers, and infinitely more opportunities with a build-your-own option.

  • The Big Garlic, with an array of options each featuring the flavors of their house seasoning and toasted garlic butter. 

  • Monk's Bar & Grill, with their long list of options, including their ultimate and gourmet Monkburgers, as well as their plant-based Impossible burger. 

 

Best classic burger:

Sometimes getting back to the basics is best. Keep it classic with burgers from the following locations:

  • Ambrosia Pub and Grill, where you can keep it as simple as a hamburger, or customize the classic to a double bacon cheeseburger.

  • Wooden Chair, where you'll find three options for burgers to make it easy to decide, without forgetting about flavor. 

  • Whitetail Lanes, go for the popular Stella Burger featuring two 1/3 pound patties with double American cheese, onions, tomato, lettuce, mushrooms, and bacon. 

  • Ruby Cafe, where you can't go wrong with their Ruby Family Beef Burger with aged white cheddar and all the fixings.

 

Best build-your-own burger

Want to cater to your own flavor? Then build-your-own is for you! The following locations are sure to suit your fancy.

  • Graffiti's Sports Pub, where you can choose from an already thought-of burger, or build to your liking.

  • Brian & Wendy's Hiawatha, make it all your own, with plenty of options, made with locally raised beef from Junction City. 

 

Best non-meat "burger"

Is meat not on your agenda? Have no fear- the following locations have non-meat options to satisfy without sacrificing flavor!

  • Wicked Willow, whose fully vegan menu allows you to customize a black bean patty with nearly every flavor you'd like.

  • Guu's on Main, where you can dig into their Grilled Portabella Sandwich, which replaces a patty with a grilled portabella mushroom cap.

 

Best spicy burger

Wake up your taste buds with a burger packed with spice! If you think you can handle the heat, make a trip to the following locations:

  • Point After, whose Jalapeno Popper Burger is piled with jalapeno poppers for kick, and a side of hot sauce to push it to the limits.

  • Amber Grill, for their Jalapeno burger, spiced up with jalapeno seasoned cream cheese, bacon, cheddar cheese, and pickled jalapenos! 

  • Mikey's Bar and Grill, whose Spicy Southwest Burger is served with chipotle-lime aioli, jalapenos, and pepper jack cheese for a trifecta of spice. 

 

Best piled-high burger

The more flavor the better! For flavor stacked on flavor, check out the following locations and get ready for a BIG bite: 

  • Bullheads Bar and Grill, their Patty Melt is packed with a 1/2 pound of their fresh burger meat, served between rye bread, and sauteed with onions and swiss cheese. 

  • Sky Club, you'll need to open wide to fit the Mac & Cheese Bacon Cheeseburger, piled high with creamy pasta and smoky chopped bacon! 

  • PJ's Restaurant, check out the Smashed Burger, complete with two 1/4-pound beef patties topped with American cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato, onion, and Thousand Island dressing. 

 

Best unique burger

Craving something you've never had before? Check out the following locations and discover your new favorite burger.

  • Rusty's Backwater Saloon, whose Surf and Turf Burger combines land and sea in the best way possible- by stuffing a patty and shrimp between two buns! (Don't skip the housemade fries and their classic bloody mary!)

  • Backwoods Bar & Grill, try the Club Burger, for a mash-up between the classic club sandwich and a burger, with a patty topped with ham, bacon, cheese, lettuce, and tomato. 

  • Final Score, go for the Big Pavelski for the 1/3 pound burger smothered with a special cheesy hollandaise along with fried onions and mushrooms. 

  • Jordan Bar, check out the Burger Brat combo (and never have to choose between a brat or a burger again!), with a 1/3 pound burger patty and a brat patty topped with spicy brown mustard, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion. 

 

Best unexpected burger

  • Matero's Pub and Pizza, where although they are known for their pizza, you can combine their pizza in a burger form with their Pizza Burger.

  • Wissota Chophouse, this steakhouse brings it with their Wissota Burger, featuring Wagyu beef, Nueske's bacon, and smoked blue cheese. 

  • Father Fats Public House, is known for serving small plates made for sharing, but you won't want to share their burger. The toppings change nightly based on what's in-season. 

  • Moose Family Center, you may be surprised to learn this spot serves up tasty burgers on select days.
