  • The Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra is comprised of approximately 75 professional musicians. Concerts showcase the talents of nationally and internationally-acclaimed instrumentalists and vocalists. Under the direction of Interim Music Director, Dr. Andres Moran, the CWSO will be offering its 71st season, titled CommUNITY. October 12 & 13, 2019 - United Beginnings Puts- Millennium Canons Grieg- Piano Concerto in A Minor, Op. 16 featuring Dr. Molly Roseman Sibelius- Symphony No. 2 in D Major, Op. 43 December 7 & 8, 2019 - Holidays with the CWSO: Family Festivities Blake- The Snowman, the Film with Live Orchestra Holiday Pops featuring Dr. Desiree Wattelet, Soprano February 22 & 23, 2020 - Voyages and Variations Mendelssohn- Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage Zhou- Transcend (WI Premiere Celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the Transcontinental Railroad) Elgar- Enigma Variations April 18 & 19, 2020 – Ode to Unity Higdon- Blue Cathedral (Accompanying our Community Photo Slideshow) Beethoven- Symphony No. 9 in D Major, Op. 125 (Featuring the Monteverdi Chorale and Wausau Lyric Choir, in addition to soloists Scott Ramsay, Sam Handley, Sonia Cummings and Beth Ray Westlund) New: Pre-concert discussions (6:30 – 7 PM)
