Looking for a fun family-friendly festival, complete with great food, free live music, and capped off with fireworks? If so, this is one event you do not want to miss. The annual Riverfront Rendezvous is held at Pfiffner Pioneer Park and will be taking place from Thursday, July 4th to Sunday July 6th.
Here are the top six things you need to know before heading out to enjoy the summertime fun!
No festival is complete without the food! The classic funnel cakes and elephant ears will be available, but there are always new items being added to the menu for you to try. Food tents will be open from 5 - 10 pm on Thursday, and noon - 10 pm on Friday and Saturday
Who knew fishing for carp would be so exciting? We would tell you the secret about catching them, but every contestant keeps their strategy top secret. Commonly known bait for carp is sweet corn, but others “chum” for the fish. Some choose to fish along the shore, while others prefer to go out on their boat. Whatever strategy you decide, make sure it helps you win the grand prizes of a nice trophy and bragging rights!
Who doesn’t love music to help ease out of the long work week into a fun-filled weekend with family and friends? On the main stage Thursday you'll find 90s hit the Spin Doctors with their classic rock music. Friday is Horseshoes and Hand Grenades, And on Saturday we close out with The Reverend Peytons Big Damn Band.
That's not all, there are plenty of other great musicians playing over the weekend, view the full lineup to find your new favorite band!
Pick up a paddle and play yourself (and win prizes!) or sit back and watch the action as the Heart of Wisconsin Pickleball Association hosts a variety of tournaments over the weekend. Thursday is mixed doubles, Friday will feature singles, and Saturday is women's and men's doubles.
All kid events at Riverfront will be held in the Family Fun Zone throughout the weekend. Enjoy a lineup of inflatable games and carnival rides in the Family Fun Zone all three days! Saturday afternoon there will be a child safety course and games as well as a cornhole tournament, trivia contest, and the market in the park.
Fun Fact: For the first time, Riverfront Rondezvous will have carnival rides in the the Family Fun Zone! On Friday only, you can purchase a wristband for unlimited rides for just $25.
We know that they are adorable, and any family pet is another member of the family, but for their own safety, we are asking that pets stay at home. From being packed with people during the day to loud music and fireworks at night, they might feel a bit more comfortable in their own homes.
Check out a sneak peek of the event from a new perspective - from the sky!
