STEVENS POINT, Wis. (March 25, 2026) — The Stevens Point Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (SPACVB) will celebrate a milestone of 40 years of destination marketing and tourism growth in 2026.

In honor of the anniversary, the SPACVB is inviting the community to take part in a series of special events designed to highlight local businesses and bring residents together in celebration.

“This anniversary is really about the people and partners who have shaped the Stevens Point Area over the last four decades,” said Jodi Maguire, executive director of the SPACVB. “We’re proud of the work that’s been done, and we’re excited to celebrate alongside the community that makes this destination so special.”

The first celebration will take place May 4 from 7–9 a.m. at Emy J's Coffee House, Mission Coffee House, The Library Café, and Ruby Coffee Roasters. Guests can enjoy a 40-cent coffee in honor of 40 years of promoting the region.

Continuing the sweet celebrations, visit King Cone or Belts Soft Serve on May 6 from 7-9 p.m. to enjoy a 40-cent scoop.

Join the SPACVB on May 7 at O'so Brewing Company for 40 Years Well Crafted, an evening of flavor, creativity, and community spirit. Guests will enjoy curated craft beverages from members of the Central Wisconsin Craft Collective, a light dinner by Dilly-Dahl Deli, and locally made snacks from Feltz Dairy Store. Live music by Jordan Bain and interactive activities provided by CREATE Portage County will complete the evening as the community gathers to raise a glass to 40 years of destination leadership. Registration is available at https://bit.ly/4rGWjQk

Rounding out the celebration is a free Movie in the Park at Pfiffner Park on June 9. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair and settle in for a free community showing of Zootopia 2 along the Wisconsin River. With food trucks on site and a beautiful outdoor setting, the evening will serve as a fitting finale to the 40th anniversary celebration.

In an effort to build awareness of the tourism industry, most of the events will be held in conjunction with National Travel and Tourism Week, observed May 3–9, 2026.

The SPACVB would like to extend our sincere thanks to our valued sponsors: Lily & Vine Floral and Gifts, Feltz’s Dairy Store, Associated Bank, Spectrum Insurance, Point Supply, and Event Essentials.

This celebration is more than a series of events, it’s a reflection. Together, the SPACVB and the community will look back on 40 years of partnership, progress, and promotion, while looking ahead to the next chapter for the Stevens Point Area.
