STEVENS POINT, Wis.  (January 4, 2016)  -- The Stevens Point Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (SPACVB) have named its new board members and officers for 2016. Amy Boston (Hampton Inn) has been named Chair, Layne Cozzolino (Central Rivers Farmshed) has been named Vice Chair, Richard Holden (Village of Plover) has been named Treasurer and Pete Theisen (Portage County Bank) has been named Secretary.
     
Four new board members were elected including; Noall Silvester (Holiday Inn Hotel and Convention Center), Debbie Werra (Robin’s Nest Gifts), Rakesh Patel (Elizabeth Inn) and         
Eric Freund (Sky Club).

Outgoing board members, including Melissa Thompson, Rick Oppermann and Julie Birrenkott were thanked for their years of service to the Stevens Point Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. Special thanks was also given to Ann Huntoon (Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra) who served as Board President for 2015.

The Stevens Point Area Convention and Visitors Bureau is an economic and community development organization whose purpose is to expand Portage County’s economy by attracting conventions, sporting events and leisure tourists to Portage County. The SPACVB provides visitors with local and state information, including travel guides, maps and brochures.
