STEVENS POINT, Wis. (September 24, 2025) – Megan Vruwink has announced her resignation as executive director of the Stevens Point Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (SPACVB), effective October 31, 2025. During her tenure, she helped guide the organization through a period of strategic growth to position the Stevens Point Area for the future of destination marketing.
 

“From my start as a Marketing Intern in 2014, then Visitor Services Specialist, returning as Director of Marketing in 2024, and serving as Executive Director, I am proud to have supported the mission-driven work of this organization,” said Vruwink. “It’s been an honor to contribute to the region I call home.”
 

Vruwink is working closely with the Executive Committee and staff to ensure a smooth transition. The search for the next executive director will begin this week.
 

Amy Boston, Chair of the SPACVB board of directors, thanks Vruwink for her leadership during a season of change for the organization. “Megan’s passion for the Stevens Point Area and commitment to the CVB’s mission have left a lasting mark,” said Boston. “Her guidance helped position the organization for continued success.”
 

SPACVB remains committed to its mission and is excited to welcome new leadership to build on the strong foundation Vruwink helped shape.
