The Mead Wildlife Education Team is pleased to welcome families, teachers and homeschoolers to the new series of monthly self-guided interpretive trail walks for 2021. Families can get outdoors and enjoy the seasons throughout the year, while exploring three habitats and inter-relationships with wildlife on the Mead property through these interpretive lessons. Trail information handouts and tools needed will be available in the brochure rack where the hike begins at the Visitor Front Kiosk Parking Lot.
Frog Scavenger Hunt
Search for clues and learn about frog species, their habitat and life cycle. Listen carefully, and you may hear the Spring Peepers, Northern Leopard Frog, or Green Frog calls. Step carefully as you travel around my habitat, so you don’t crush me! At the end of the trail, you will find a make-and-take project.
