Join us for exciting family bird programs led by local Audubon experts this spring at Schmeeckle. These programs are being presented in partnership with the Aldo Leopold Audubon Society.
The first hour mixer allows you to learn birding basics, participate in crafts/activities, and enjoy free refreshments. The second hour is a guided birding hike suitable for children. See below for dates and topics.
The target age is 6-12 years old but all ages are welcome. Binoculars and ID books will be available to borrow. Free coffee and cocoa/juice and snacks will be provided. Registration not required.

9-10 a.m. – Mixer with an Audubon Society birding expert: basic birding and ID techniques, Q&A about types of feeders and birdhouses, self-guided crafts and activities.
10-11 a.m. – Guided family-friendly birding hike on Schmeeckle trails.
