The public is invited to attend this free live sculpture making event. Molten metal will be poured into molds created by your neighbors throughout Stevens Point this summer. The first tap will be at 3:00 p.m. The final result will continue the work of a community-sourced sculptural fence, including cast artwork created by five community organizations under the direction of lead artists Keith Kaziak, Stuart Morris and Mike Godell. The project brings together a diverse group of community representatives in a creative enterprise that reveals their impressions of Stevens Point.
Want to join the fun? Create a mold before the live pour! There will a limited number of sand molds available at the park, beginning at 2:00 p.m. First come, first serve for this free activity.
The Stevens Point Sculpture Park received grants from the Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin to support the 'Impressions of Point-II' project.
The Stevens Point Sculpture Park is an independent all-volunteer run park and is made possible through generous donations and grants, both monetary and in-kind.
