  • Paul Sletten, M.D., Waupaca Family Physician, will speak on Climate Change and Human Health in the Pinery Room of the Portage County Public Library, at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 27th. Dr. Sletten's talk is the second in a series of ten forums on aspects of climate change to be presented in the Fourth-Thursday Climate Forums sponsored by Stevens Point Citizens' Climate Lobby, the Aldo Leopold Audubon Society, the Interfaith Community for the Earth, and the Frame Presbyterian Green Team. This forum will explore how oil, gas, and coal emit pollution when burned, how that pollution is changing our climate, and how that in turn affects our health.
All ten monthly Fourth-Thursday Climate Forums at the Portage County Public Library are open to the public free of charge, and refreshments will be served.
