Earlier in the year a sub-committee of the Village of Plover Board came together to create a festive event to spread Christmas cheer along the Post Rd. corridor with Christmas lights. After a very successful Fire Safety Drive-thru event, coordinated by the Village of Plover Fire Department, the Light Up Plover volunteers group decided to pivot.
We're excited to announce the first-ever, "A Very Plover Christmas". A Christmas lights ground display drive-thru event that will be located in the Little Plover River Park. This one-week event will run from 5 PM to 9 PM each night. These light display sites will be unmanned, aside from a small group of volunteers who will be on-site throughout the week to monitor.
Additionally, we're in need of groups who would like to participate. The cost of a display site is $25 for local area businesses and $10 for non-profit organizations. The money collected for this event will be used to expand power locations throughout the park with the goal of scaling the celebration over the next few years.
We are excited to bring this fun, FREE, safe, and family-friendly event to our community--especially during the pandemic.
