Day 1

Grab lunch at Hilltop Pub & Grill in Stevens Point. It’s a casual stop with 24 beers on tap and a menu with everything from burgers to brisket.

Save room for dessert at King Cone in Plover. At any given time you’ll find more than 40 flavors of homemade ice cream in the case, many of them national award winners.

Then stop in to Kozy Yak Brewery & Winery in Rosholt. You’ll be welcomed into this small, cozy stop like a neighbor. Enjoy small batches of artisan beer and wine from some of the friendliest folks in town. For more, don't miss a stop at McZ's Brew Pub, just across the street.

Pull up a chair at Matero’s Pub & Pizza nearby. You’ll find delicious pizzas with made-from-scratch crusts, mouth-watering sandwiches and a Friday fish fry of battered or baked Icelandic Haddock.

Day 2

Grab breakfast at The Wooden Chair in Stevens Point. They take pride in their natural, healthier meals and are famous for fluffy omelets, home-baked treats and specialty sandwiches.

Late morning

Before you head home, check out Jordan County Park, or the newer Steinhaugen Recreation Area, between Stevens Point and Rosholt. These are great places to stretch your legs and explore. Don't miss Steinhaugen's 270-acres for a fall hike or snowshoeing in winter.  Keep your eyes peeled for the abundant birds and wildlife that call this area home.
