Looking to see what’s new and upcoming in the Stevens Point Area? We have it available for you! From local makers markets to outdoor laser tag, it is all here!
Agora
Located on Main Street in Downtown Stevens Point is the new Local Makers Market, Agora. Cara, the owner, has dreamed and brainstormed business ideas for her own business for many years and it finally came to her- a place for area makers to sell their goods and to showcase the uniqueness that Central Wisconsin has. Agora will be known as an eco-conscious fair trade that will include art and non-art products. Focusing on bringing the community together and building relations and connections, Agora will feature some products that can be sold on consignment like vinyl decorated home goods, many kinds of jewelry, wood carvings and cuttings, and handmade clothing.
Main Street Taps
Not far down the road from Agora is a Main Street Taps, catering to young professionals in the Stevens Point Area. Main Street Taps has 40 craft beers on tap and also serves lunch and dinner. With a large stage inside of the bar, they will be hosting many live entertainment events throughout the week including comedy and music.
Mama Mai’s Noodles
New to the area just off of Stanley Street is a small family restaurant, Mama Mai’s Noodles. Known for their home-cooked meals they serve southeastern Asian foods including pho broth, Hmong egg rolls, pad-Thai and much more! Hungry to try some of their dishes? Stop in Tuesday through Sunday and get a taste of this new delicious restaurant in the Stevens Point Area.
Putt-N-Play Laser Tag
Putt-N-Play, known for indoor mini-golf on the north side of Stevens Point, is now offering a new outdoor laser tag course. Just off of Second Street, they will be offering the laser tag Wednesday through Sunday in a new outdoor space behind the facility. Got a group of friends looking to play? Find a team of 10 and join the Thursday Night Laser Tag League from 4 pm – 7 pm.
Plover Bandshell
The newest addition to Plover is the Bandshell at Lake Pacawa Park. As a community gathering place and a centerpiece of entertainment, the band shell will be used for musical events, movie nights, children’s entertainment and activities, community events and nonprofit events. It was opened momentarily for Celebrate Plover, but construction continued after the event to finish the amphitheater-like seating that will be completed this fall.
