Spring into Action
Schmeeckle Reserve is the site of a fun event on April 16 that celebrates the coming of spring on the trails. Discover the science of phenology (the study of natural events tied to temperature). Observe the signs of spring, such as arriving critters and plants that unveil eye-opening mysteries and expose telling native legends.
Prairie Chicken Festival
The Central Wisconsin Children’s Museum is hosting a series of fun prairie chicken-themed events on Saturdays. The next events take place at the museum on April 18 and April 25. The museum is located at 1100 Main St., Stevens Point.
Swap-O-Rama
Discover treasure on May 2 at the Amherst-wide Swap-O-Rama. The Amherst-wide community rummage sale takes over the town with great deals.
Standing Rocks Disc Golf Tournament
The Standing Rocks County Park will be the site of a disc golf tournament that will draw some top competitors. The tournament takes place May 2-3.
Take a Step 5k
This event benefits the domestic and sexual abuse victim services provided through CAP Services' Family Crisis Center.
