Right now, you’ll find a huge variety of art exhibitions and live performances in the Stevens Point area.

Through March 2, the always-interesting Carlsten Art Gallery will be hosting I Collect, I Create, an exhibit that includes the objects collected by UW Stevens Point faculty and the artwork inspired by those objects. Through March 30, the Scarabocchio Art Museum will present the fascinating sculptural works of JinMan Jo.

On February 22-23, the Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra will present a performance of works by Mozart, Barber and Schumann. February 28 to March 2 and March 2-8, the UW Stevens Point Theatre and Dance Department present the dramatic masterpiece “The Crucible.” And, from March 2-25, see the works of emerging artists at the Riverfront Arts Center. That’s just a sampling of the many arts events happening in the coming weeks.

But art isn’t the only thing happening in the Stevens Point area. On March 1, lace up your shoes and join the Point Brewery Bock Run. This 5-mile run takes you over flat terrain and across the Wisconsin River. It’s a fun race, and there will be a post-race party that includes Point Brewery products. Don’t miss it!
