George Mead Wildlife Area

This beautiful 33,000-acre expanse of public land is home to more than 80 miles of trails. Bring your bird guide and binoculars when walking this preserve - the area provides rich habitat for wildlife, including 270 species of birds.
 

Schmeeckle Reserve

This 280-acre natural area is a great place to experience nature in Stevens Point. It’s part of the UW-Stevens Point Campus. The reserve includes five miles of trails and it’s the headquarters of the Green Circle Trail.
 

Downtown Historic Murals

Downtown Stevens Point is home to beautiful downtown murals depicting the area’s history. You might run into someone familiar – faces of residents past and present have been incorporated into the art.
 

Standing Rocks County Park

There’s a lot to do in this beautiful park. The park is great for walking and its 10 miles of trails are also open for mountain biking.
