Objectives
1. To assist local sports organizations in their pursuit
of sports events that provides economic benefits to the area.
2. To assist in identifying, recruiting and promoting those events and meetings
that bring out-of-town visitors to enhance the area economy.
3. To promote Portage County and its assets.
4. To educate the public on the economic, public relations, health, fitness
and recreational value of sports events and activities
5. To provide a sports information center for groups seeking help and advice.
6. To advise and facilitate local organizations of the economic potential
for the proposed construction or remodeling of sports facilities.
